Plagiarism
What plagiarism is at Academy, and why it stops your process immediately.
If you copy the work of a different person and show it as your work, you commit plagiarism. Fluid Attacks Academy does not accept plagiarism. Philosophy says that honesty is one of the main pillars of Fluid Attacks.
Fluid Attacks considers all plagiarism a violation of good faith. This violation is a legal cause to terminate your contract. Fluid Attacks then stops your process immediately.
Plagiarism is an ethical problem, and not a technical one. Thus the model of Fluid Attacks uses good faith and full transparency.
Your .mailmap entry gives you one authorship identity for the whole
repository. Every commit that you make resolves to it.
First commit gives that entry. Each solution file
also carries your GitLab username in its name.
General criteria gives the structure of a
solution.
Fluid Attacks also keeps a database of the solutions that are on the internet
for each challenge of the repository. These links protect the unique solution
metric, and they prevent plagiarism.
When you upload a solution, you must also add new links to that database. Each of these links must solve any other challenge of the repository. External solutions gives the quantity of these links and their rules. Uniqueness gives the metric that they protect.
